(i haven't finished going through it yet and could already expand on it! great idea. i've been thinking a lot lately about kids books told from an an anarchist or anti-civ perspective, so seeing this was cool.)

dead dad's ghost: "you hang onto your pain like it means something, like it's worth something. let me tell ya, it's not worth shit. let it go. *sighs* infinite possibilities and all they can do is whine..."
traumatized son: "well, what am i supposed to do?"
dd: "you can do anything, you lucky bastard. you're alive! what's a little pain compared to that?"
ts: "it can't be so simple."
