i'm actually against this. while on the surface it seems like a good idea, we can't go back in time. the incredibly miraculous niche that allowed the existence of a being, once destroyed, cannot be recreated. did these scientists not watch jurassic park? humans need to stop playing god. we really do a bad job of it. if we want to protect endangered species, we need to stop destroying their environments NOW. this path, of human-as-god, leads down a scary path, one where this biologically diverse planet becomes one fucked up human experiment and wilderness no longer exists.
