real easy answer:
BECAUSE YOU'VE FORCED THEM TO LIVE IN A FUCKING CAGE AND PERFORM TRICKS. do you really really think you'd want to live to an old age if you were kept thus?
I've never been someplace like seaworld, but the last time I went to the circus (maybe the third time in my life and first as an adult) I almost threw up from the dispair and anger eminating from the animals in the ring. The horses and donkeys didn't seem to mind, but the elephants and, espcially, the tigers... I thought they would gladly see us all dead and it was so bad. I refuse now to go or allow my kids to go, even though they've been invited with friends who had extra tickets. NOT going to support that kind of thing. We stopped going to large area fairs and such as well because I can't condone treating animals that way :(
